Terms of Service
Effective date: May 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Anywherecuts platform — including the web app at anywherecuts.com and the native iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Anywherecuts. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. You agree to provide accurate, current information when registering and to keep it updated.
3. Barber Terms
If you sign up as a barber, you represent that you are legally permitted to provide haircut and grooming services in your jurisdiction (including any required licensing) and that you will deliver the services described in your profile.
Stripe Connect is used to receive payouts from client bookings. By accepting payouts, you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and provide identity verification information directly to Stripe. Anywherecuts does not store your banking details.
4. Client Terms
If you book a service through Anywherecuts, your contract for that service is between you and the barber, not between you and Anywherecuts. Anywherecuts provides the booking and payment platform but does not perform the service.
Cancellations made within the barber's stated cancellation window are eligible for a refund; cancellations outside that window are at the barber's discretion. Anywherecuts processes approved refunds via Stripe within standard processing times.
5. Shop Owner Terms
Shop owners may list booth rental opportunities and manage on-premise barbers through the platform. Listings must accurately describe the booth, amenities, and rental terms. Shop owners are responsible for their own employment-classification and tax compliance with respect to barbers operating from their location.
6. Subscriptions and Platform Fees
Barbers and shop owners may subscribe to the Pro plan for additional features. The Pro subscription is sold via:
- Apple In-App Purchase (iOS app subscribers)
- Google Play Billing (Android app subscribers, when enabled)
- Stripe (web subscribers)
Cancellation. To cancel a Pro subscription:
- iOS subscribers: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Anywherecuts → Cancel.
- Android subscribers: Google Play → Account → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Anywherecuts → Cancel.
- Web (Stripe) subscribers: In-app under Subscription → Cancel. The cancel takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then.
Apple/Google subscription changes typically reflect in the app within 2 minutes after returning to it. Stripe cancellations are immediate. Refunds for IAP subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google directly per their policies.
Apple In-App Purchase — auto-renewal disclosures. Pro subscriptions purchased via Apple In-App Purchase are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions in two billing periods: monthly (Barber Pro Monthly, Shop Pro Monthly) and annual (Barber Pro Annual, Shop Pro Annual). The price of each subscription is displayed on the in-app purchase screen at the point of purchase, and may also be reviewed in App Store Connect. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the cost of the subscription. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Apple ID account settings in iOS Settings or the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds for Apple In-App Purchase subscriptions are handled by Apple per their policies.
Bookings. Booking transactions are processed via Stripe Connect (real-world physical services exempt under Apple App Store Review Guideline 3.1.5(a)). The booking total includes the service price set by the barber plus any applicable platform fee disclosed at checkout.
7. User-Generated Content
Reviews, portfolio photos, profile information, and messages you submit ("User Content") remain yours. You grant Anywherecuts a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of operating the service.
Content rules. You agree not to upload content that is sexually explicit, depicts violence or gore, contains hate speech or hate symbols, harasses or threatens another person, infringes intellectual property, or is otherwise unlawful. Photos uploaded as portfolio, avatar, or booth listing imagery are screened by an automated NSFW classifier before display; flagged photos are automatically removed.
Reporting and blocking.Every user-facing UGC surface (reviews, portfolio photos, barber profiles) provides a "Report" option that submits a confidential report to our moderation team. We respond to reports within 24 hours. Users can also block another user, which immediately hides that user's profile, photos, and reviews from the blocker's view.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal activity
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or services
- Circumvent the platform to avoid platform fees
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our infrastructure
- Scrape, copy, or republish content from the platform without permission
- Submit false or malicious reports
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination at our discretion.
9. Intellectual Property
The Anywherecuts name, logo, software, and platform design are owned by Anywherecuts or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the platform except as expressly permitted.
10. Disclaimers
Anywherecuts is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, the accuracy of barber profiles, or the outcome of any haircut or grooming service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anywherecuts and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the platform fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$100.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Anywherecuts will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis. You and Anywherecuts waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or unauthorized access claims.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Where binding arbitration does not apply, exclusive jurisdiction is in the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
14. Termination
You may close your account at any time via the in-app account deletion flow under Settings. Closing your account starts a 15-day grace period during which you can recover the account; after the grace period, your personal data is removed except for records we are required to retain.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or applicable law, with notice where reasonable.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email and post a notice in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
